Mi amiga Aurora me ha pedido que difunda la historia de Carlos, hijo de un compañero de trabajo de su esposo Miguel puesto que es necesaria toda la ayuda que se pueda conseguir.
Carlos es un niño de seis años que padece adrenoleucodistrofia y su unica posibilidad de tratamiento consiste en un procedimiento que sólo puede realizarse en Estados Unidos a un precio muy elevado (700.000 euros) y que no cubre la Seguridad Social por lo que apelan a la buena voluntad de las personas para poder reunir esta cantidad ya que para una familia trabajadora es muy dificil de asumir.

My friend Aurora has asked me to share the story of Carlos, the son of one coworker of her husband Miguel, because they need all the help the can get.
Carlos is a 6 year old kid suffering from adrenoleukodistrophy and the only way they can at least slow down the desease is by means of a very expensive medical procedure (700,000 euros) only performed in the United States that the Spanish Social Security (the socialized medicine system in Spain) doesn’t cover. They’re unable to get the money needed so they’re asking goodwill people to contribute with whatever they can.
